About the Warranty Declaration
A warranty declaration commits a seller to a warranty period for the goods it supplies, and to repairing or replacing defective items at no cost. Buyers often ask for it in GeM bids for equipment and durable goods.
Enter the product and warranty period, then print it on your letterhead. The period must meet or exceed what the bid requires, and resellers should make sure it matches the OEM's warranty.
Printing on your own letterhead
Choose Printed letterhead and set the space from the top so the text starts below your company header. Put your letterhead in the printer, select Actual size (100%) in the print window, and test on one plain sheet held against the letterhead before using the real thing.
If you have your letterhead as a file, choose Upload letterhead instead, so the PDF is ready to upload to GeM with your header already on it.

Frequently asked questions
What is a warranty declaration in a GeM bid?
It is a written commitment that the goods are free from defects, and that the seller will repair or replace them free of charge during the warranty period.
From when does the warranty period start?
This letter counts it from acceptance of the goods by the buyer, or as the bid specifies. The bid terms take priority, so check them.
Can a reseller give this declaration?
Yes, if the bid allows it, but make sure the OEM supports the same warranty. Some bids ask for the warranty certificate from the OEM.
